Job
respon­sibilities

• Lead, coach and grow the Group Public Affairs team and engage in results-driven outcomes supporting business objectives while cultivating Group-wide collaboration and knowledge exchange with External Communications, CSR, Strategy, Innovations, Regulatory Affairs and Community Relations
• Develop a public affairs and engagement strategy and action plan for advocacy projects at Belgian (federal, regional) and European level taking into account Fluxys’ business priorities
• Establish a stakeholders’ engagement model allowing representation roles within working committees, associations, federations, networking event, roundtables, seminars, etc. to be related to outcomes defined in the public affairs and engagement strategy
• Ensure the various EU and Belgian funding programmes are identified and applied for in order to enable the energy transition and accelerate Fluxys’ strategy towards a carbon-neutral future
• Accompany and support Fluxys Affiliates in defining and deploying their public affairs strategy to support country-specific advocacy projects (not including FluxSwiss)
• Enrich the intelligence gathering capacity and listening mechanism to engage in purposeful dialogues with stakeholders on key issues

About
you

For this role, you have:

• A master’s degree, preferably in law, economics or political sciences
• 10 years of working experience in policy, advocacy or government/public affairs, and/or leading roles in an international environment
• A profound understanding of EU policy mechanism and institutions and access to EU networks
• A good understanding of and keen interest in future energy and infrastructure issues
• A mindset for shaping new horizons and leading with positive change
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to lend direction, inspire others and foster dialogue
• A good mastering of English, French and/or Dutch, with preferably any other language
