For the Grid Department in Wetteren (see the map here) we’re looking for an Maintenance Support Operator (m/f/x).

The Grid Department is responsible for managing Fluxys Belgium's transmission system, ensuring the supply of gas to end users at all times and guaranteeing the safety of facilities, the environment and employees. More specifically, the department's work encompasses the inspection, operation and maintenance of the pipeline grid and associated facilities, such as valve junctions and pressure-reducing stations. The Grid Department is divided into five geographical areas, with technical and administrative support provided by central teams.

Job
respon­sibilities

• After undergoing intensive training, where you will learn about the entire network and the facilities in the area, you will join the team responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our pressure-reducing stations
• You will carry out repairs and maintenance work on these stations and will draw up the necessary reports
• You will record the operating data concerning our facilities
• You will ensure the safety of our facilities and employees

About you

For this role, you have:

• A degree in electromechanics or an equivalent qualification
• Some experience in the maintenance of technical facilities
• Eagerness to learn and dynamic attitude
• A sharp technical mind and the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent social and communication skills
• A fluency in Dutch and a satisfactory knowledge of French and English

Additionally, this role requires:

• The willingness to eventually work on call and on standby
• Residence within a radius of 30 minutes of our entity in Wetteren
• A category B driving licence
