For our underground gas storage facility in Loenhout (see the map here) we’re looking for an Electricity and Instrumentation Technician (m/f/x).

At our underground storage facility in Loenhout, high-calorific natural gas is stored in aquifers at depths that can exceed one kilometre. The gas is kept in buffer so that users can at any time cope with the difference between the quantity they supply and the quantity their customers purchase.

Job
respon­sibilities

• After a period of training, during which you will learn about the facilities at our Loenhout underground storage facility, you will, as an Electricity and Instrumentation Technician, join the team responsible for day-to-day inspection and maintenance
• You will perform preventive maintenance on the station's electrical devices, instruments and equipment, taking into account safety aspects
• You will analyse faults and malfunctions and make the necessary repairs
• You will make proposals for process improvements and will be involved in their implementation
• Ultimately, you may be deployed for maintenance work on IT process installations, control units, automation infrastructure and networks
• In addition, you will be part of an on-call team responsible for rectifying any faults to ensure continued efficient operation

About
you

For this role, you have:

• An A2 diploma or bachelor’s degree in electricity, electronics or electromechanics, or have equivalent experience
• Experience in the maintenance of technical installations, preferably in a process environment
• A first experience with PLC systems (not a must)
• Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well both in a team and independently
• An eye for safe, high-quality work, during which you closely follow the guidelines and understand the usefulness of good cooperation
• A will to learn and a motivation to develop yourself further
• A good knowledge of Dutch and an adequate knowledge of English

Additionally, this role requires:

• The will to integrate in the long term a role of guard and permanence
• A residence within 30 minutes of our Loenhout site
• A category B driving licence
