For our headquarters in Brussels (near the trainstation and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a fulltime commercial manager.

Job purpose

The commercial Manager is responsible for maximizing FluxSwiss long term revenue by selling transport capacity contracts on Transitgas pipeline. The role includes both commercial strategy (optimization of product offering, promotion methods, pricing and capacity utilization) and commercial execution with direct selling to customers closing deals. The position reports to Chief Executive Officer.

This role is essential to ensure continuous utilization of the asset and maximization of long-term revenue in a responsible way that enhances the excellent reputation that FluxSwiss and its shareholders enjoys from its customers, adjacent TSO’s and authorities

Job responsabilities

Develop and implement the Commercial Strategy

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy in accordance with the company’s objectives
  • Negotiate all commercial agreements to optimize the Company’s commercial interests.
  • Further develop and optimize the product mix, including the development of innovative products, to better meet the customers’ needs and use of options to secure longer term contracts.
  • Define and implement dynamic price strategy to optimize revenue.
  • Define and execute optimal promotion methods.
  • Prepare and write the commercial proposals, including price definition, scope identification, commercial terms and conditions, all according to company processes and procedures.
  • Ensure commercial practices comply with industry requirements.

Build Relationships

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with FluxSwiss’ customer base, understanding their business model and how FluxSwiss products create value for them.
  • Participate in customer presentations, discussions, conferences, and all front line marketing / sales efforts.
  • Foster a network of contacts in the industry to stay abreast of changing market situations and thus strongly contribute to Company’s market intelligence.
  • Liaise closely with other senior managers.

Manage the Commercial Team

  • Build and maintain a highly motivated and performing commercial team through appropriate team management and individual performance management and development.
  • Ensure proper support and monitoring of the Commercial back office.

About you

  • A Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics. A complementary training in management is an asset
  • Experience of programming and data modelling
  • Highly articulate and customer-focused
  • Meticulous and organised in your work
  • Enterprising person, results-driven and a pragmatic team player
  • Able to quickly learn and become proficient in new applications and technologies
  • Fluent in Dutch and French and have a good command of English
